The Builders Code Scorecard is designed to help you measure your policies and procedures against recognized best practices for creating a respectful and inclusive workplace.
It also measures progress towards the goal of 10% women and growth in representation of a diverse workforce in your company. By participating, you will be able to evaluate your efforts against these metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Information collected in this Scorecard is treated as confidential by the BC Construction Association and Minerva BC. Your information is managed in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.
Your data will be treated as proprietary to your organization. On an annual basis, Minerva BC will produce a report of the Scorecard data. Results will be shown in aggregate so that individual companies are not identifiable.
The goal is to benchmark current status, highlight progress, and support performance improvement in the sector.
Completing the Scorecard
The Scorecard tool is designed to be completed by a member of your management team. It should be completed in one sitting, but can be closed and returned to on the same device, if necessary, before submitting.
You will be asked to provide information about your workforce and HR practices. Please choose a response that best describes your implementation for typical situations at your company. You will also be asked a few questions about your company that will help facilitate a comparison with other companies.
Before you start, you will need the following information:
Company data, including gender representation
Information on your company's Human Resources policies
Knowledge of Acceptable Work Site policies and practices
Knowledge of external marketing materials
Copies of documented policies and practices that support your responses (optional)
This survey will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. If for some reason you are interrupted or need to modify your responses before submitting, you can return to it later from the same device.
After completing the Scorecard, you will receive an individual report from Minerva BC. These results will be emailed to you, explaining your score and offering recommendations.
A team member at Minerva BC will be available to discuss the results and recommendations with you.
Minerva BC will collect Scorecard responses. Please consider completing the Scorecard every year so that you can monitor your progress and how you compare to other companies.
